Seno himself compared these stories to slices of pizza; they, though could be eaten separately, are, in fact, intended to be perceived as a whole. The stories deal with a variety of objects, they are put together in different manners and with differing styles, however, each represents the author’s attempt to understand the nature of twilight and his own fascination with this phenomenon. When analyzing this compilation, some specific spatiotemporal characteristics are present. First, twilight lasts significantly longer than it ever could in real life. Seno’s characters can experience stunning and colorful views for hours, years and even decades as the time and their perception of the time become distorted and non-linear. Amoment stretches into eternity, thus making time a meaningless category. Furthermore, the stories spatial settings are often irrelevant. It does not matter for the plot where the story takes place — in a buzzing city, on an aban- doned beach, or even in sewers. Twilight is everywhere and sometimes nothing 1 Another possible translation of the title: “A Slice of Sunset for my Sweetheart”.
