To visit Russia foreign citizens usually have to apply for a visa with some exceptions.
Below you can find a list of the countries the citizens of which enjoy visa-free travel to Russia. If you are not a national of one of these countries (and do not have diplomatic status) you will need to obtain a Russian visa in your country of residence before you depart for Russia. Scholarly exchange visas are issued by Russian consulates abroad against the official invitation issued by the University; it is available for the EU (Schengen countries) citizens. Preparing such an invitation may take us up to one month, plus mailing time. Thus, one has to apply not later than 1,5 months prior to the planned arrival.
For other countries an invitation from the Russian Federal Immigration Agency (Migration Police) is required, which is being issued upon the request from the University, and it takes at least one month (up to one month and half), plus mailing time. It should be submitted to the Consulate in original on a stamped form (so-called “Yellow page”). Please, apply not later than two months prior to your planned arrival (preferably – 2,5 months).

The visa support will be provided to registered participants only, who have paid the conference fee online before 1 April 2019. The organizers will not provide visa support to the family members of the participants. Instead, the family can get visa support from visa agencies or respective hotels and apply for tourist visas.
Please, be sure that you have a valid passport at the time of registration.
