Секция II 102 XXX Международный Конгресс по источниковедению и историографии стран Азии и Африки According to this Declaration the United Kingdom supported the establishment of national home for Jews in the territory of Palestine, rather than the establishment of independent Palestinian State. It was Balfour Declaration that paved the way for unsolved and complicated problems in the region which have lasted until now. 1 After the revolt Hussein became king of Hijaz, which was only recognized by his own tribe. This “independence” lasted until 1925 when the British government decided to shift the support from Hussein to ibn Saud, thus abandoning and isolating Hijaz. Hijaz was conquered by Saud family and this gave an impetus to the establishment of Saudi Arabia. 2 An overlook at the British and French factor in the Arab revolt against the Ottoman Empire revealed that France and especially the United Kingdom led the revolt, and, in some cases, they could achieve their goals in the region. His interventions in both the Junta of the Mexican Church in 1539 and the First National Council of Mexico (1555) were also decisive, while his missionary activity may be pinpointed in two ways: a practical one, oriented towards the foundation of a series of hospital-villages ( hospitales-pueblo ), inspired by the characteristic utopian thought of the Humanism of the sixteenth century, which promoted the peaceful catechization of NativeAmericans; another, in theoretical terms, through the writing of two fundamental works within the tradition of the Indian treatise: the Información 1 The Balfour Declaration, 1917. http://www.mideastweb.org/mebalfour.htm. 2 Esilyurt N.
